My name is Carol Fleming and I create jewelry out of stainless steel. I started about 12 years ago. I have a terrible allergy to metals and when I tried to wear even a necklace I would turn it black and it would give me a rash. I loved to accessorize so I started to investigate. I found that Surgical grade Stainless Steel was something I could wear and enjoy. No more sore ears, or rashes or green/ black jewelry. And it began! Nine years ago I decided I could not wear all of the jewelry, nor did I have enough friends to give it to! So I started doing some small craft shows and the next thing you know I’ve made it a full time job. It’s so much more fun than sitting in a cubicle and going to meetings! I just fell in love with it. So here we are 9 years later…I can’t think of anything else I would rather do! I love what I do, I love creating and I love changing the location of my office from show to show! I also love that my jewelry lasts. No tarnishing, no turning green/black and no allergies. I love to see people get excited to learn…they can enjoy jewelry! I use several different tools wire cutter, plyers…needle nose, round nose chain nose, Ring bending, Vices and Crimp,Files, Welding and Brazing Torch Dremel, Jewelers Shear,Ball Peen Hammer, Wood Mallet, I started creating for fun 8 years ago and fell in love with it. My biggest pay is seeing people enyoy it. It’s made by cutting forming twisting filing hammering and soldering…and a lot of sore fingers…and of course love

I make handwoven items such as scarves, shawls, fabric, towels, runners, placemats, rugs, bookmarks, etc. I handweave each object on one of the looms in my studio. My raw materials consist almost entirely of thread or yarn made of one or a combination of the following: wool, silk, rayon, cotton, linen, mohair, tencel, bamboo. I spin my own yarn on a spinning wheel as well, usually from raw sheep’s wool. Most of my items are woven with purchased thread/yarn.

My work is the creation of small batch, handcrafted hard candy that blends traditional confectionery techniques with modern flavor innovation. Each piece is made entirely by hand using time honored methods passed down through generations, including a family recipe originally developed by my grandmother. The process emphasizes craftsmanship, precision, and sensory storytelling, transforming simple ingredients into edible works of art that evoke nostalgia and memory. Techniques & Process Every batch begins with cooking sugar, glucose, and water in open pans carefully monitored by temperature and visual cues rather than automation. Once the syrup reaches the correct stage, the flavorings and natural colorings are added. For select collections, premium spirits are carefully added as well. It is then hand poured into heat safe silicone molds of desired shape. Powdered sugar is then used to lightly coat candy to reduce stickiness. No automated forming or mass production machinery is used. Each batch is visually inspected, cooled, and finished by hand before being packaged. Media & Materials Granulated sugar, glucose/corn syrup, water Natural and specialty flavor extracts Select premium spirits for infused varieties Minimal or all natural colorings Silicone molds, powdered sugar Proof of Handcrafted Work Each batch is cooked, flavored, poured, cooled, extracted, weighed, bagged, and sealed. Variations in size, pattern, and finish reflect the human process, not machine uniformity Small batch production ensures hands on attention from start to finish No automated candy forming, depositing, or wrapping equipment is used Artistic Intent My goal is to preserve and celebrate the disappearing art of traditional candy making while re-imagining it for modern audiences. Each piece is meant to be both visually engaging and emotionally resonant, connecting people to memories, heritage, and shared experiences through taste. The finished candy is not only a consumable product, but a handcrafted expression of tradition, patience, and skill. This work is fully hand crafted from raw ingredients to finished piece, honoring classic confectionery artistry while presenting it in a contemporary, elevated form. To accompany the candy and ensure products for a broad range of customers, we also offer laser engraved, Slate Coasters, handmade car freshies and "boozy" themed earrings.

I create unique natural butterfly collections using butterflies obtained from regulated sources in Peru. My pieces range in size from one framed butterfly to 17 butterflies "in flight". Each piece is framed between 2 pieces of glass so that you can see and enjoy both sides. I am not able to demonstrate my art as the butterflies are delicate. I must complete all of my work in my studio.
